My name is Manuel Blanc. I have training in psychoanalysis and ethnopsychoanalysis, and a curious, empathetic, and literary spirit. In this introductory space, I wanted to share a brief impression of my practice and approach. Broadly, I seek to help people who bring me stories I’ve never heard before—narratives with unique constellations of meaning that consistently compel me to feel and think anew. These discoveries invariably prove essential for the path we build together.
While significant technical nuance is applied according to each individual’s psychological functioning, the essence of my work remains unchanged: to help people engage more meaningfully with their emotions, their self-perceptions, how others perceive them, and how they perceive others. This dialogue is the core of my work, and I believe everyone evolves by learning to converse more deeply with these identity landscapes—whether ill or well, successful or struggling. I’ve never met anyone free of representational and emotional limitations that, in some way, don’t complicate their own life.
Elsewhere on this site, you’ll find reflections on fundamental themes in my profession. These may help you discern whether my approach resonates with you and whether you might wish to explore working together.
